Clemson University is located in the northwest corner of South Carolina and situated at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The main campus covers 600 acres and is surrounded by spacious Lake Hartwell and beautiful tree-mantled hills. Clemson is easily accessible from I-85 and highways 123 and 76. It is just two hours away from Atlanta, Ga., Asheville, and Charlotte, N.C., and the Palmetto State capital of Columbia. Greenville, S.C. is less than 30 minutes away.

The Clemson Tiger Tennis Camp features 21 Laykold outdoor courts and four indoor courts. Located adjacent to the tennis center complex is an intramural track for physical conditioning. Directly across the street is the modern Fike Recreation Center, complete with an Olympic size swimming pool and separate diving tank. Other recreation facilities include ping-pong and pool tables, an eight-lane bowling alley, as well as an indoor and outdoor basketball court.
Lodging/Security and Meals (Back To Top) (Photos)
A spacious and air-conditioned dormitory is provided for the campers. All meals will be served in an air-conditioned dining room at Harcombe Food Court with food service provided by Aramark (ARA). Harcombe Dining Hall is an on-campus cafeteria offering a variety of selections and unlimited portions. A snack bar is available each night to provide snacks and refreshments after the evening games. The first meal for the overnight campers will be Sunday evening after check-in and the last meal for night and day campers will be lunch Thursday. Day campers are responsible for their evening meal Sunday before the 6:00-830 p.m. evaluation period.
Campers will be housed in the newest of dorms at Clemson which include Stadium Suites, McCabe, and Holmes. All dorms are air-conditioned and supervised 24 hours a day. Each suite accommodates 4 campers (2 bedrooms with 2 beds each) and one bathroom. Beds are oversized single (38" x 85"). Stadium Suites is located across the street from Death Valley Football Stadium. McCabe and Holmes are located just 50 yards up the street near the Clemson Student Union. The dorms are conveniently located within walking distance to the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center.
Campers reside and participate in a safe and monitored environment throughout the camp week. Only Clemson University youth camps are permitted in the dormitories during the summer. The room assignments are made according to age and gender. There are no co-ed dorms. At Clemson Tiger Tennis Camp, the camp counselors reside in the same dormitories as the campers attending the camp. These counselors are always available to our campers 24 hours a day while camp is in session.

Roommate Requests (Back To Top)
Please be sure to indicate your roommate requests on your application. Roommate preference must be requested by both campers. If no request is made, a roommate will be assigned to you based on your age. Each dorm suite accommodates 4 campers and no more than 4 will be allowed in a suite. If you are attending camp as a group of 5 campers or more and want to ensure you will be placed in a suite with your requested roommates, please be sure they have requested you! Roommate assignments are made one week prior to each camp session; changes made after that time cannot be guaranteed.
Please Note for Teams: Roommate assignments must be made by a coach or team manager and submitted to the camp office NO LATER THAN TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR SESSION.
Key Deposit / Lost Keys (Back To Top)
If a camper loses their room key during the camp session, they will be required to pay a $50 fee to replace the lock. This fee is imposed by the Clemson University Housing Department. This refundable deposit is collected at check-in on Sunday.
Camp Bank (Back To Top)
A camp bank will be available at registration where money may be deposited for use during the camp week. The “bank” will be accessible between 9-11 am and 2-4 pm. We recommend campers bring no more than $25.00 and request small bills when depositing.
Vending machines are available in the dorms and campers may choose to purchase snacks at the movie theatre on movie night. The movie theatre is $2.00 per camper.
Racquets may be restrung at camp for a fee of $15.00 per racquet. If string is supplied by the camper the fee is $10.00. Please plan ahead if you know you regularly break strings.
Lost/Stolen Items (Back To Top)
Clemson Tiger Tennis Camp is not liable for theft or loss of a camper's personal property. It is the responsibility of the camper to keep their door locked when they are away from their dormitory room. Campers are encouraged not to bring a large amount of money or valuable items to camp (i.e., TV, CD player, etc.)

Camper Cars (Back To Top)
Campers who drive to camp must park in a designated area and turn in their car keys to the camp director at registration. Keys will be returned at check-out.
Inclement Weather (Back To Top)
Camp will continue during rainy weather. Clemson University is equipped with a lightening alert system. When the siren goes off, campers will be escorted off the courts to the indoor tennis center or to a tennis classroom. The director will monitor the conditions and play outdoors will resume when the all clear lightning signal is given. We are fortunate to have facilities which allow us to continue the camper's tennis education despite the inclement weather.
Want to Stay Longer (Back To Top)
For campers who want to stay more than one week, special arrangements and activities are planned for the weekend in keeping with our policy of a safe and healthy environment. There is a $150.00 dorm fee per weekend. Please note this fee does not include meals.
Shuttle Service (Back To Top)
A shuttle service is available to campers arriving at the Greenville/Spartanburg airport and local bus/train stations on the first and last day of camp only. The fee for the shuttle service is $50.00 round trip. It is the camper's responsibility to inform the camp director of their arrival/departure dates and times. Ideal arrival and departure times would be around noon on the first day of camp and around 3:00 pm on the last day. Campers arriving the evening before camp begins are responsible for their own transportation and lodging.
Check-in (Back To Top)
All campers including Day Campers and Purple Campers will register at the Hoak Sloan Tennis Center on the Clemson University campus from 2:30-4:00 PM. The tennis center is located to the north of the soccer stadium on Highway 93 and directly across the road from the Mellow Mushroom. Parking for registration is located in the lot behind the tennis complex. Signs will direct you to the parking area. Camp counselors will guide you from parking to the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. Camp registration by session:
- Session 1 Sunday, June 15th, from 2:30-4:00 p.m.
- Session 2 Sunday, June 22th, from 2:30-4:00 p.m.
- Session 3 Sunday, June 29th, from 2:30-4:00 p.m.
- Session 4 Sunday, July 6th, from 2:30-4:00 p.m.
ATTENTION: DAY CAMPERS and PURPLE CAMPERS -Please return for the important Evaluation Session on Sunday evening at 6 PM. This should last until 7:15 PM for Purple Campers and until 8:30 PM for Overnight and Day Campers.
